Crowns

A crown is a custom cap that covers and protects a tooth that's cracked, broken, heavily filled, or weakened — restoring its strength, shape, and appearance.

What it is

When a tooth is too damaged for a simple filling, a crown rebuilds it. It fits over the whole tooth like a tailored cap, protecting what remains and letting you bite and chew with confidence.

Modern crowns are made from tooth-coloured materials that look and feel natural, matched to the shade of your surrounding teeth.

What to expect

  1. 1

    Shaping and scanning

We gently prepare the tooth and take a digital scan or impression so your crown fits precisely.

  2. 2

    A protective temporary

If needed, you'll wear a temporary crown while your custom crown is made.

  3. 3

    A perfect fit

We place and adjust your final crown so it feels natural and your bite is comfortable.

Your comfort comes first

The tooth is fully numbed throughout, and we take care to make the fit comfortable. We'll check your bite carefully so the crown feels like your own tooth.

Common questions

How long do crowns last?

With good care, crowns can last many years. Brushing, flossing, and regular checkups help your crown — and the tooth beneath it — stay healthy for as long as possible.

Will a crown look natural?

Yes. We match the crown to the colour and shape of your surrounding teeth so it blends in naturally.
